Welcome to Robert H. Rubin Books

We are dealers principally in Americana and the American Scene—including books, manuscripts and ephemera, from the 17th to the early 20th century. We also deal in similar material related to Great Britain and the Continent—with an emphasis on social and cultural history, through the 19th century. Also, selectively, in Economic Thought and Law and Legal History, former specialties in which we still maintain an interest. Robert H. Rubin Books was established in 1978. We sell by catalogue and especially by direct quotation of relevant material to customers whose interests are known to us and who wish to receive such offers. We encourage you to contact us if you are interested in offers of material in your field(s) of interest. We do not inundate, and we do try to offer material that is clearly within the parameters you specify. We will reserve material for a reasonable period when possible, with never an implication of obligation on your part. All we ask is feedback to let us know that offers reach you, or that the material may not be quite on target—for the sake of mutually beneficial fine tuning. For institutions we do our best to check for duplication. Visitors are always welcome, by appointment.
Contact Item 50. Clay, Henry. Engraved Portrait.
