"In a spirit of good-natured dialogue, leading scholars of various philosophical persuasions critically engage these important questions. The fourteen previously unpublished essays in this volume explore Margolis's contributions, ranging from the subtle issues of detail within his system to very general questions of the need, viability, and value of a hermeneutic, relativistic metaphysics of flux. At the conclusion of the book, Professor Margolis responds to points raised in each paper."--BOOK JACKET.
