Beyond Red Lines

Pierre Rehov
What would you do if you were an innocent man entangled in a dark conspiracy plot that took everything away from you...except your soul? It was an unexpected offer, the job of a lifetime. Who wouldn't want to lead a team of computer experts on a top-secret project in the heart of Mexico? "I thought they'd forgotten about my gift my CO noticed when I was a young conscript, but destiny wouldn't let them use me then. Instead of sending me to the front in Iraq, they had to send me home... but someone had not forgotten about me. Ten years later... how could I know that my talent would change my destiny and strip me from my humanity... They call themselves the "White Cells of Democraties" and are hell-bent on exacting revenge on terrorists... that's why they have these secret camps where they recruit and train mercenaries to fight for their cause - the base where I am stuck too... That job I was offered was a lure that would bring me here to this hell-on-earth place with my wife and daughter... I've lost everything and they think they are training me for their cause, but I have my revenge to exact..." Who are the people behind the White Cells Organization, and why did they target Theo? Follow Theo as he tries to survive the inhumane conditions of the training camp as he searches for the puzzle pieces that would help him give the solution to the greater-than-the-world conspiracy plot that landed him in a hell-on-earth camp in the Sierra Madre. In Beyond the Red Lines , nothing is what it seems... *********************************************************************************************************************************************** Everyone is asking the same questions: How should we respond to terrorism? Should we be afraid of it? What does it mean for our future? Pierre Rehov, by no means, purports to answer all of these questions." - Amanda Schuster - European Weekly "Pierre Rehov has written a doozy of a thriller. This is a globe-trotting novel in which suspense is everywhere and the surprises are non-stop. The intrigues keep the reader turning the pages for the next fateful encounter. The pay-offs are perfectly timed and so very satisfying." - Novelist Jack Engelhard (author of Indecent Proposal ) "I read Pierre Rehov's "Beyond Red Lines" and I loved it" Pamela Geller's report " I highly recommend Pierre Rehov's work" Michael Mandaville (author of Citizen-Soldier Handbook)

The Argonauts of North Liberty

Bret Harte
Bret Harte was an American author and poet, best remembered for his accounts of pioneering life in California. Harte moved to California in 1853, later working there in a number of capacities, including miner, teacher, messenger, and journalist. His story, "The Luck of Roaring Camp," appearing in The Overland Monthly magazine, propelled Harte to nationwide fame. The Argonauts of North Liberty is a longer tale by Harte. Taking place in a staunchly reserved Presbyterian society, it illustrates in its heroine the revolt of an unruly and unregenerate nature against a Puritan society. North Liberty is a Connecticut town, and the "Argonauts" are a man and woman who migrate to California to begin life again, escaping the strictures of their earlier life, like the "Blue Law" setting of the opening. Once in California, Harte's feel for the time and setting can take full flower.

He is motivated by good will, and also to escape his American second wife who is the head of a temperance organization. Together the two seek "adventure" in the form of crimes foiled, jewels recovered, spies uncovered, and plots smashed. Mr Cray is accosted at a costume ball by the fey spirit of a medium, Christine Seboa, who turns out to be even cleverer than he. The adventures continue on the Riviera and back in New York. E. Phillips Oppenheim, in full Edward Phillips Oppenheim (born Oct. 22, 1866, London, Eng.-died Feb. 3, 1946, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands, U.K.), internationally popular British author of novels and short stories dealing with international espionage and intrigue. After leaving school at age 17 to help in his father's leather business, Oppenheim wrote in his spare time. His first novel, Expiation (1887), and subsequent thrillers caught the fancy of a wealthy New York businessman who bought out the leather business at the turn of the century and made Oppenheim a high-salaried director. He was thus freed to devote the major part of his time to writing. The novels, volumes of short stories, and plays that followed, totaling more than 150, were peopled with sophisticated heroes, adventurous spies, and dashing noblemen. Among his well-known works are The Long Arm of Mannister (1910), The Moving Finger (1911), and The Great Impersonation (1920).--Encyclopaedia Britannica.
