The Elizabeth Lee Project

Elizabeth Lee
My name is Elizabeth Adrienne Lee. I have decided to write a book entitled: "The Elizabeth Lee Project." This book is an autobiography that depicts my life when I was a child growing up. I wrote this book with the intention of it being a self-help book. I want to help other victims of domestic abuse. I am also promoting depression awareness. When I was in college I found out that millions of people in this world are suffering the exact same way I did. So I decided to take my outrage & anger & take action to put a stop to child abuse. I'm going to tell you a little bit more about me. I was born in Kempatty Sempatty Tamil Nadu India on September 10, 1982. My mother died of tuberculosis & my father joined the service (I don't know that for sure. That's just what I was told). I was adopted along with another girl that people claimed was my biological sister. But after what she did to me I refuse to call her my "sister." This girl was part of the abuse when I was growing up. She would conjure up ways to get me into trouble because she knew that when I got into trouble, Sam & Jerome Krenz would yell at me & beat me. She was also the one who told me I deserved to be abused. Now would a good sister tell you that you deserved to be abused? I don't think so. I have brown skin, brown eyes, black hair, I stand about 5'4 ½" tall, & I weigh about 175 pounds. I received many health problems as a result of all of this abuse. I was terribly malnourished, then I was lactose intolerant, I had Ovarian Failure, & I had "Severe Depression." I was always drastically underweight. When I was twenty years old I only weighed ninety pounds & I was stuck at the height of 4'11" most of my life. I guess that's what happens when you ignore your body for twenty years. I'm not saying that I'm ignorant. I was so preoccupied with all the verbal & physical abuse I was receiving from Sam & Jerome that I didn't have a chance to think about anything else. I feel that many people can relate to what I've been through because I know there are others who were abused like I was. I know what other domestic abuse victims are going through. I'm trying to reach out & send the message that people who are experiencing problems with domestic abuse are not alone & I'm here to help in any way I can. I plan to start up "The Elizabeth Lee Foundation." I plan to provide counseling for people. My counseling will be free of charge. All the people are the reason that I'm alive, happy, healthy, & doing well today. This is my way of giving back to the community. This is my way of saying: "Thank you" to people for helping me. I survived my past & I lived to tell about it. Not too many people can say that. If you only knew the things these people did to me, you would ask me: "How the hell are you still alive?" But when I found out that the third leading cause of death in teenagers & adolescents is suicide, I knew I had to step forward & put a stop to this nonsense right away. I would like to see the suicide rate to drop down at least somewhat. I would like to go on television on talk shows & channels that broadcast the news because this suicide thing is a serious issue that we should not ignore. My ordeal is depressing & horrible, but the reason I'm stepping forward is because I want to help people so that people are happy, healthy, safe, but most of all alive. So I'm sending a positive message. I want to conclude by saying this: despite what I've endured I am leading a healthy & productive life. My book is getting published. I'm living in my very own apartment under the name I've wanted my entire life. I finally got my PT Cruiser!! I've wanted those cars ever since they came out with them. I have no health problems & I'm doing what I can so that I can live a long & fulfilling life.

Parenting for Everyone Where Do Good Children Come From?

Simon Soloveychik
On New Year's Eve 1985 a 17 year old girl killed her classmate. Her motive was simple: she needed money to buy a dress. The gilrl was adjudicated. But there was one simple human question left: How could she? You can follow along as the author of Parenting For Everyone makes his own investigation into the murder and finds unique moral answers. His approach is focused on understanding of the nature of healthy human development. He discovers secrets of raising good and morally intelligent children for which parents can feel confident that everything will be alright with their children. Forty years of writing about children and for children with simultaneous research of educational theories and methods of many philosophers and humanists in the field, such as Rousseau, Socrates, Bronfenbrenner, Vygotsky, Spock, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Korczak, Sukhomlinsky challenged the author to discover several stable laws of a child spirit development. These humanitarian ideas he brought into the field of parenting, a science about the art of upbringing children in families. For ten years of deep investigation of the origin of humanity in people he gathered, analyzed and systematized those ideas into a complete, integral system, which was described in his book Parenting For Everyone.Parenting For Everyone is three comprehensive books in one. You will find 17 open chapters out of 245 at www.ParentingForEveryone.com "In a world such as ours, where so many of our freedoms are quietly pulled out from under us, and where we have certainly long lost our inner freedom of thought, along comes a very encouraging book: Parenting for Everyone. The effort Aigul Aubanova and Victor Dull have put forth in translating the work of legendary Russian educator Simon Soloveychik feels like a breath of fresh air ready to invigorate every serious teacher and parent." Parkinson's blues: stories of my life

Clayton, John Jacob
"This book begins describing the onset of Parkinson's, the arrival of the dark unexpected. In a Monty Python skit, someone is nagged by questions. "I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition," he complains. Suddenly Michael Palin, in red 16th century costume, bursts into the room. "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" he shrieks. Who expects the onset of Parkinson's? Or cancer? Or stroke? Or the loss of a child? The terrible surprise isn't limited to Parkinson's. It's the existential condition of everyone's life. In fourteen sketches, John J. Clayton links the experience of PD with the experience of childhood sickness, family battles, the struggle to make a good life out of a painful life"--

The International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management is sponsored by the Chinese Industrial Engineering Institution, CMES, which is the only national-level academic society for Industrial Engineering. The conference is held annually as the major event in this arena. Being the largest and the most authoritative international academic conference held in China, it provides an academic platform for experts and entrepreneurs in the areas of international industrial engineering and management to exchange their research findings. Many experts in various fields from China and around the world gather together at the conference to review, exchange, summarize and promote their achievements in the fields of industrial engineering and engineering management. For example, some experts pay special attention to the current state of the application of related techniques in China as well as their future prospects, such as green product design, quality control and management, supply chain and logistics management to address the need for, amongst other things low-carbon, energy-saving and emission-reduction. They also offer opinions on the outlook for the development of related techniques. The proceedings offers impressive methods and concrete applications for experts from colleges and universities, research institutions and enterprises who are engaged in theoretical research into industrial engineering and engineering management and its applications. As all the papers are of great value from both an academic and a practical point of view, they also provide research data for international scholars who are investigating Chinese style enterprises and engineering management.
