The Final Report on Operation Majestic 12

Stanton Friedman
It should be no surprise that the various highly classified Operation Majestic 12 (or Majic-12 or MJ-12) documents have been attacked since their existence was first made public.Equally unsurprising is the fact that a number of phony or hoax or fraudulent MJ-12 documents have been released as well. But if the original documents, such as the Eisenhower Briefing Document of November 18, 1952, the Truman-Forrestal Memo of Sept. 24, 1947, and the Cutler Twining Memo of July 14, 1954 (found in July, 1985, in Box 189 of Entry 267 of Record Group 341 at the National Archives by Jaime Shandera and William Moore) are genuine, then the consequences are enormous: aliens are visiting Earth, the government has recovered at least one crashed saucer and several alien bodies, and a very significant group of outstanding American scientists and military leaders has collected, reviewed, evaluated, and kept secret all kinds of information about the visitors. Under such a scenario, mankind is NOT alone, and the government has covered up the biggest story of the millennium and perhaps history in general.Ten years after the 1984 receipt of a roll of exposed 35mm film by Jaime Shandera at his Burbank, California home, and his efforts with William Moore and Stanton Friedman to evaluate them, a new roll of film showed up in the mailbox of aviation and science writer (and longtime ufologist) Don Berliner. This contained many pages of SOM 1-01: Majestic 12 Group SPECIAL OPERATIONS MANUAL: "Extraterrestrial Entities and Technology, Recovery and Disposal." Ufologists and UFO buffs alike owe it to themselves to look seriously at the material gathered here by Friedman, and decide for themselves whether or not we need to continue pushing for Disclosure and the truth.

Karma and rebirth in classical indian traditions

Wendy Doniger OFlaherty
Karma is perhaps the most famous concept in Indian philosophy, but this is the first comprehensive study of its various meanings and philosophical implications. Karma and Rebirth in Classical Indian Traditions offers a harmony of approach and an underlying set of methodological assumptions: a corpus of definitions of karma, a dialectic between abstract theory and historical explanation, and an awareness of logical oppositions in theories of karma. No “solution” to the paradox of karma is offered, but the volume as a whole presents a consistent and encompassing approach to the many different, often conflicting, Indian statements of the problem. Broad in scope and richly detailed, this book demonstrates the impossibility of speaking of “ the theory of karma” and supplies the basis for further study. Exploring methodological issues arising in the study of a non-Western system of soteriology and rebirth, the contributors question the interaction of medical and philosophical models of the human body, the incorporation of philosophical theories into practical religions with which they are logically incompatible, and the problem of historical reconstruction of a complex theory of human life. This title is part of UC Press’s Voices Revived program, which commemorates University of California Press’s mission to seek out and cultivate the brightest minds and give them voice, reach, and impact. Drawing on a backlist dating to 1893, Voices Revived makes high-quality, peer-reviewed scholarship accessible once again using print-on-demand technology. This title was originally published in 1980.

The Professor and the Fossil (Classic Reprint)

Maurice Samuel
Excerpt from The Professor and the Fossil I arrived in Paris on the day of the publication of the nazi-soviet Pact, and my assignment was over. Now the world's newspapers would not have even a ten-line filler on the tenth page to Spare for the peripheral tragedy of the Jewish refugees. Moreover, the traffic in rescue was tempo farily disrupted, to be resumed later under more desperate circumstances. Not that war was considered quite certain; nor, when it was declared, was its continuance considered quite certain. (let the incredulous reader consult the news paper files for the early days of the phony war. But the pact itself was a tremendous event; and if war was uncertain, both before and after the declaration, the wild maneuvering was now being conducted on the very edge of the abyss. Keter: the crown of God in early Jewish mysticism

Green, Arthur
Keter is a close reading of fifty relatively brief Jewish texts, tracing the motif of divine coronation from Jewish esoteric writings of late antiquity to the Zohar, written in thirteenth-century Spain. In the course of this investigation Arthur Green draws a wide arc including Talmudic, Midrashic, liturgical, Merkavah, German Hasidic, and Kabbalistic works, showing through this single theme the spectrum of devotional, mystical, and magical views held by various circles of Jews over the course of a millennium or more. The first portion of the work deals with late antiquity, emphasizing the close relationship between texts of what is often depicted as "normative" Judaism and their mystical/magical analogues. The mythic imagination of ancient Judaism, he suggests, is shared across this spectrum. The latter portion of the work turns to the medieval Jews who inherited this ancient tradition and its evolution into Kabbalah, where keter plays a key role as the first of the ten divine emanations or sefirot. The nature of these sefirot as symbols and the emergence of a structured and hierarchical symbolism out of the mythic imagery of the past are key themes in these later chapters. As a whole, Keter takes the reader on an exciting tour of the interior landscapes of the Jewish imagination, offering some remarkable insights into the nature of mystical and symbolic thinking in the Jewish tradition.Originally published in 1997.The Princeton Legacy Library uses the latest print-on-demand technology to again make available previously out-of-print books from the distinguished backlist of Princeton University Press. A Short History of the Church of Christ From the Close of the Sacred Narrative to Our Own Times (Classic Reprint)

John Fry
Excerpt from A Short History of the Church of Christ: From the Close of the Sacred Narrative to Our Own Times TH short memorials of Ecclesiastical History were, a considerable time since, announced as ready for pub lication. I have to offer an apology, but too valid, ' for the delay. The last sheet had just gone to the press, when the whole was consumed by fire; and, as the manuscript was at that time in the printer's hand, only a remnant of the Work could, with the ut most diligence, be recovered from the ruins. Restored, at length, as nearly as possible, to its original form, it is now presented to the reader, and it will, I hope, be found to answer the design of its publication. An Essay Upon the Chronology of the World, from the Creation to the Birth of Christ ... by Mr. Alexander Cooper,

Alexander Cooper
The 18th century was a wealth of knowledge, exploration and rapidly growing technology and expanding record-keeping made possible by advances in the printing press. In its determination to preserve the century of revolution, Gale initiated a revolution of its own: digitization of epic proportions to preserve these invaluable works in the largest archive of its kind. Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars. The Age of Enlightenment profoundly enriched religious and philosophical understanding and continues to influence present-day thinking. Works collected here include masterpieces by David Hume, Immanuel Kant, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as religious sermons and moral debates on the issues of the day, such as the slave trade. The Age of Reason saw conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism transformed into one between faith and logic -- a debate that continues in the twenty-first century. ++++ The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title. The Jewish Quarterly Review

Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning
Excerpt from The Jewish Quarterly Review When examining a number of Genizah fragments belonging to the British Museum I came across two paper leaves, 18 cm. X 14.5 cm. with 21 lines to the page. They are written in Arabic and in Hebrew square characters. No work of this title has been known before, and as the name of the author is absent it must be left to conjecture. A copy of a treatise so named exists in Petrograd, but no details of this work are at hand, and at present not easily to be obtained. The author of the last-named work is Abul-Faraj Harun, a prominent Karaite grammarian who lived in Jerusalem in the earlier part of the eleventh century. Chapters on Jewish Literature

Israel Abrahams
Excerpt from Chapters on Jewish Literature These twenty-five short chapters on Jewish Literature open with the fall of Jerusalem in the year 70 of the current era, and end with the death of Moses Mendelssohn in 1786. Thus the period covered extends over more than seventeen centuries. Yet, long as this period is, it is too brief. To do justice to the literature of Judaism even in outline, it is clearly necessary to include the Bible, the Apocrypha, and the writings of Alexandrian Jews, such as Philo. Only by such an inclusion can the genius of the Hebrew people be traced from its early manifestations through its inspired prime to its brilliant after-glow in the centuries with which this little volume deals. Excerpt from Juan De Valdes' Commentary Upon the Gospel of St. Matthew: Lives of the Twin Brothers, Juán De Valdés and Alfonso De Valdés Herr Joseph Lampel, by personal research in the library, confirmed my conjecture that this manuscript formed one of a collection already made in the time of Maximilian IL, and Valdés' Commentary upon the First Epistle to the Corinthians is dedicated to the Emperor Maximilian II.
